Market Fruit Seller
Handmade in Ecuador. In a woven basket she carries fruits of fancy: pineapple, watermelon, apple, mango and peach. Modeled after a traditional Ecuadorian woman selling fruit in the market, this clay figure represents beautiful, simple abundance. With eyes squinted into a smile and a thick braid curled around her back, she says, "From the trees and the vines, ripened in the warmth of the sun and nurtured upon the flesh of the earth-I have this to offer."

Fait main en Equateur. Dans un panier tissé elle porte des fruits de fantaisie : ananas, pastèque,
pomme, mangue et pêche. Modelé après une femme traditionnelle d'Equateur vendant le fruit sur le marché, ce figurine d'argile représente la belle, simple abondance. Avec des yeux serrés en sourire et une tresse épaisse courbée autour de son dos, elle dit, "Des arbres et des vignes, mûrie dans la chaleur du soleil et consolidé sur la chair de la terre - J'ai ceci à offrir."
